In that part of the world, manhood is defined by how much punishment you can take in terms of alcohol consumption, fighting, chasing girls, general wild living. For me and my two brothers, it was a matter of daring each other to do more and more crazy stuff,

But there was a dark side to all this recklessness. By the time I was 16, 10 of my close friends had died. Some were suicides. Others got into brawls and had the life beaten out of them. Others went out and got roaring drunk, drove home and fell asleep at the wheel. It’s what happens in places like Wyoming. I could have easily gone that way myself. But my dad stepped in. He sent me to a boarding school and that saved my life.

The fact is that I’m far more comfortable sitting on a horse and herding cattle than walking up a red carpet. People think I’m being disingenuous when I say I don’t like the glitz and glamor of Hollywood. But truthfully, I can’t stand it. There are very few situations I’d like less to be in than a Hollywood premiere or an awards ceremony. That’s not what my life is about.

Who knows, with Lost anything is possible. I have heard talk of a movie but I haven’t been approached. If it were to happen of course I would be interested. I think all the cast would be because we had such a great time on the show.

I was 12. I can actually see the event in my mind’s eye, like photographs. It was in Dubois, Wyoming, where the population sign probably says, to this day, about 1,000. It happened literally on the ground by a river while a rodeo was going on in town. It was absolutely terrible and awkward — just two f****ng kids lying down and pulling our pants down.

It is kinda nice to know what people don't know. And it's a little bit of a power trip, Besides, if I said, some guys would pull up outside in a white van, throw me into it and whisk me away and I would never be seen again.

Well, there are many things in my life that I'm passionate about, I recently got my pilots license. I have been flying a lot and the area that I am going to be living in back in the US is a great place to fly.

I just want to spend a lot of time with my family. I really want to spend the next five or ten years making things happen the way I want them to or just in those other interests that I have.
