American radio and media personality known for his radio show "The Howard Stern Show"

Howard Allan Stern is an American radio and media personality most notable for his radio show which since January 9, 2006, has been broadcasting on Sirius XM, an uncensored satellite radio service. Although described by the media as a "shock jock" for his sometimes controversial commentary and segments, Stern argues it never was his intention to "shock" people, whether discussing world affairs or the staff he works with. Stern is the highest-paid radio personality in the United States, and also the most fined, following a long history with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) since 1986.

What, is there a feud? I like Piers Morgan. He’s got a lot of pressure on him. He’s gotta get some ratings. Larry King was beating him. I was offering him some advice. I said, ‘You can’t have a guests on for a whole hour unless they’re very commanding, like myself and Oprah Winfrey. He was challenging me, saying he’s the king of all media. I said ‘Never mind being the king of all media, just be king of CNN and get see if you get that going first.’

I came to a conclusion. My contract was up a few months ago. I really thought I was going to retire. I said, ‘Why am I doing this anymore? I’ve proven everything I needed to prove. It makes me crazy. I hate getting up early every morning. … I am driven by a neurotic compulsion to do that show. And it doesn’t seem enjoyable. I go home every night and go, ‘I did a horrible job!’ It’s my identity. My ego. Like, this is who I am. This is what I do.

The point I was trying to make is that obesity in this country is out of control. What's really sad is that you see people saying it's OK to be like this, you have to love your own body. it's OK to look like that. I feel this girl is going to kill herself - you can't eat like this. I did enjoy her performance (in Precious) I have nothing against her, I'm just trying to say she's enormous. The girl has got tremendous problems and she needs help. And we got slammed (for saying it).
