A constant friend and colleague I depended on for advice. An inspiration and a role model. Among Karnataka's finest cricketing sons.

It's nice that we clicked as a bowling unit. Full marks to Steyn, Vinay, Jacques Kallis and Praveen Kumar. We had planned to use the short ball. When you have someone bowling at 140 or 150 kmph, when you have the quality to do that, you can dig it in a bit and put pressure on the batsmen,

Well old habits die hard you know. This is just four overs and it's 45 days a year, so it's nice. The ball is coming out of the hand nicely, though it might be a bit slower! I think it's still a young man's game, but I'm happy to do my bit.

We don't like to think too much about being rated favourites. It's just the start, we'll take it one match at a time. I'm extremely pleased that we have won 3 out of 3 matches after the first loss.

It's a very important game. We know the Mumbai Indians have done exceptionally well in their two matches so far. Our team is full of confidence (going into the match),
