What everyone thinks about Andy Murray?
It was good for me to win today [Sunday]. Three good results in a row against Nalbandian, Rafa and Roger, so that will give me confidence for next week. — Andy Murray is happy defeating Nadal and Federer in the same tournament / August 16, 2010
The US Open is the main goal but this is a good start. I played five days in a row from Wednesday - all the matches right in the heat of the day so it was good for me physically. — Andy Murray feels winning the Rogers Cup is a good start for his preparation for the US Open / August 16, 2010
To beat Rafa in the first big hard court tournament is huge for the confidence. If I play my best like I did [against Nadal] I have a very good chance. — Andy Murray is confident of defeating Roger Federer in the final of Rogers Cup / August 15, 2010
It was very good, I served well today and got the first good hits in a lot of rallies. I was able to dictate a lot of the points. It was a very good performance. It was one of the best matches I've played his year. — Andy Murray after defeating David Nalbandian 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinal of the 2010 Rogers Cup / August 13, 2010
The only disappointing thing was I wasn't able to create more break point opportunities, as normally that's one of the best points of my game. This week I felt so much better than I did in Monte Carlo. This tournament is a step in the right direction compared with the last couple of weeks, which were going the wrong way. I'm disappointed to lose but I was a lot happier with the way I hit the ball. — Andy Murray is optimistic of getting back on form / May 01, 2010
In terms of the way I was striking the ball it was a different level to the last two tournaments - way, way better. I just need to serve and return better, which are two basic things you tend to do better the more matches you play. I didn't do the basics as well as I would have liked. — Andy Murray is optimistic of getting back on form / May 01, 2010
It’s a long stretch coming up with the French Open and Wimbledon and obviously I don’t want to take time off but a couple of days just to get your body right again, then you work hard again for a week to get ready for Madrid (starting May 10). I’m a little bit disappointed but I’m also happy with the way I hit the ball. If I keep this up then I think I will do pretty good in a tournament soon. — Andy Murray sticks to the "practice-makes-perfect" plan / April 30, 2010
You’ve got to stick to a plan. This week I just felt so much better than I did in Monte Carlo (opening-round loss) because I was able to play and practice and get into shape. Now I have another week of hard training and hard practice. I think that will be more beneficial to go and play another tournament. — Andy Murray sticks to the "practice-makes-perfect" plan / April 30, 2010
After Indian Wells I sat down with my coaches and spoke about making sure my priority was to peak for the Grand Slams but I can still play great tennis in the Masters Series and try to win every match I play in. That's what I need to be focused on and that's what we talked about together after Indian Wells. I was nervous before I played against Kohlschreiber and I was just rubbish. You gear towards each Grand Slam. They are the four peaks of the year where you want to be playing your best tennis and I achieved that in Australia. Since then it's not been particularly good but a lot can change from week to week. I went from playing some of the best tennis of my life in Australia to playing some really bad tennis in the space of a few weeks and it can change. I just need to keep working. — Andy Murray lost focus concentrating too hard to win his first Grand Slam title / April 16, 2010
